October 2023 Snowdonia Adventure

Are you ready for a peak experience adventure in October of 2023? If so we have something special planned for you on this trip!

Date:-

Friday 27th – Monday 30th October

Location:-

Capel Curig – Snowdonia

Mountain Rating:-

Double Mountain rating meaning the experience will be moderately strenuous and you should be happy to cover up to 10 miles over mountain terrain in a day.

Price:-

£380 per person which includes 3 nights accommodation in a 4 bed shared dorm.

4 bed dorms have luxury beds, private space and are beautifully kept.

The kitchen is fully equip with a huge range of cooking facilities and equipment including fridges and private boxes to store your food.

 

Itinerary:-

Friday 27th October

Arriving on Friday evening, check in at our 5 start hostel is from 5pm.

That evening you will have chance to unpack, unwind and meet your fellow adventurers. There is a self catering kitchen to prepare some food or visit one of the local pubs which are a 10 minute walk away.

Saturday 28th October

The group will be guided to summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via the Watkin Path. This is a stunning hike of around 9.5 miles which will see us take in mountain streams, panoramic views and a real sense of adventure!

There is some very easy scrambling to be enjoyed near the top. We will descend along the south ridge which can offer stunning views of the Snowdon Massif range.

There will be the potential for some wild cold water bathing for those brave enough either in a mountain stream or near by mountain lake.

Once back at the hostel you will have some time to relax, take a shower and get ready for the evenings events.

We will visit a fantastic local Welsh pub that serves great delicious food and drinks and reflect on the days challenges and fun with the group.

Sunday 29th October

After breakfast we will head into the Moelwyn range of mountains to tackle either Moel Hebbog or take in a fantastic route overlooking the beautiful village of Beddgelert which will hopefully provide stunning views and a delightful river walk to end. The decision will be made on the day based on the weather and how every-ones legs are after the previous days hike.

Whichever option we choose, you can be sure to have an amazing time!

Once the hike is complete, we will call in for some liquid refreshment in a local Beddgelert pub before heading back to the hostel to freshen up. That evening we will head out to the pub close to the hostel for more food, drinks and celebrations before departing in your own time on the Monday morning.

Weather and Routes:-

The weather can change rapidly in the mountains and so plans are subject to change should the weather dictate it may to be too dangerous or unpleasant to hike up high.

In the event of such circumstances we have alternative lowland hikes as a back up to maximise your experience with us!
